Diggin Diigo

Happy Monday!

Welcome to Week 2 classmates and any other readers I might have accumulated! As this week begins I am definitely less overwhelmed and excited to learn more. I am using my reader to stay organized with all of my online pages I am following.

I recently joined Diigo and was eager to dive into that! After signing up and creating my account, I still felt a little lost with yet another new Web 2.0 tool. So I searched tutorial videos and thought I would share this one with you all. It's from Lynda.com, which also seems like a great learning tool and I have bookmarked that site on my Diigo dashboard to come back for further exploration!

My question now though, is Diigo another form of a feed reader? Or is it considered a different platform entirely? Interested to hear opinions on that!

Feel free to leave any Diigo facts as well for any others who are "Diggin Diigo"!

  1. Oooh! Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

I guess you could treat it as a place to read feeds created by others. However, it's considered a social bookmarking tool. We'll be getting into that topic more next week. In the meantime, enjoy exploring it! :)

  2. Anytime! I thought it was useful for newbies! A social bookmarking tool is exactly what I need since I don't always have the time to read something when I find it, and although I give myself a mental note to come back, I don't always return.

  3. Thank you Nicole for sharing this! I just made a Diigo account and I really don't know what to do there. Literally lost at the first page. Will start to use some tips and tricks from the video! From watching this video it also leads me to another video (also from Lynda.com) that explain the use of Diigo in the classroom.

  4. Thanks Nadia! I'm still figuring it out as well, this is a fun learning adventure on the web. I enjoy how everything can stay in one place on Diigo and that I can come back to see things I tagged.
